Sleepyhead

Look what Sophie did last night:

She went to sleep at about 6:45pm, and I heard her wake up once at about 2:15, but she just talked to herself for several minutes, and then dozed back off. She ended up waking up at about 6:30am. Just shy of 12 hours. That's about an hour before she normally wakes, but I didn't mind at all. Plus, she just ate and played for about 20-30 minutes, and then went back to sleep until 9:15. That's right folks.

As for me, I only woke at

11:00,
1:30,
2:15,
2:47
(where I went in to check on her),
4:45,
5:30,
and
6:15.

My body is so used to waking every 3-4 hours, that it had to wake up quite frequently since it's not used to this. I'm pretty excited to get a better night's sleep now. That is, if Sophie keeps this up.

This could be my post today. Miss Dub has now slept through the night (11+ hours) two nights in a row, with some early morning chattering. I, however, have not ... but I want to. Oh, how I really want to.

Very exciting! However don't be surprised if this doesn't remain her pattern of sleep. She'll tease you and just when you learn to sleep through the night she'll hit a growth spurt or decide she doesn't like sleeping throught the night.

NEVER post about babies sleeping thru the nite. It'll jinx it.
Just kidding. YAY for getting more sleep.

isn't it a sad irony that when your baby finally sleeps through the night you cannot? good luck. i hope this is her new pattern and that you can get some sleep!

I think Gracie slept through the night early, too. And of course my body was not ready for it either. Now, I wish she still woke up at night so I wouldn't have to go through the whole adjustment again with the new baby. But at the same time, I'm glad I'm getting some sleep now. :)
