Do bookshelves serve a purpose?

You'll have to get with Stephanie on that one. Hers are always in perfect order, and her children replace each book as they use them.

Yes. They serve for entertainment purposes solely.

oh, i wish what nana said was true. my kids are getting old enough to keep books in the right place now, but when they were sophie's age, pulling everything off the shelf was part of the fun. i think i used to keep them in baskets for this very reason.

i agree with stephanie. i've resorted to a book basket instead. it's a much quicker clean up, and ava can help much easier.

Why yes, bookshelves do serve a purpose. At our home they are for stacking and piling things on that no one wants to walk 4 extra steps to put away where mom has said it goes.

They also are great for collecting dust, candy wrappers, dead light bulbs, and cd's that are too heavy to carry across the room. ;)

Ahhh, I see a few Usborne books mixed in there:)

Yes, emptying the bookshelves is an important developmental milestone... don't ya know;)
