Nap? Time

Sophie learned how to go from a laying/crawling position up to a sit this week. Today, she practiced it instead of taking a nap. This is how I found her 15 minutes after putting her down this afternoon.
And here she is thinking she's so clever.

She also learned this week how to use one of her toys to pull herself to a stand. Previously, she could only do that holding onto our hands. I think she'd be able to do that in her crib too, if she were in her regular crib instead of a pack-n-play right now.

She's getting so smart and strong. And sleepy. That whole sitting thing was just too cool for her, and she couldn't figure out how to fall asleep for an hour and a half after that.

She does look pretty clever and sneaky in that picture. Its one of those "how can you be mad at this?" faces... and what's that white thing in my bedroom?

And how come every time I try to call you, you're never home and never call me back?

That's a tough spot! She's so stinkin' cute, but she has to sleep...
