The EYE

Around graduation last May, Jake started noticing a tiny dot next to his eye. You couldn't see it, and you could only feel it if you really tried hard - it was like a sesame seed under his skin.

Well, that sesame seed grew. By December, it was like a blueberry. Jake couldn't go anywhere with out some friend or stranger pointing it out to him. So after being referred all over the valley, he eventually ended up getting some elective plastic surgery done to remove it.

Before: (this is actually in October - about 1/2 the size it ended as)

After:

Much better, huh?

OK, it's actually a lot better now - just a tiny stitches scar that will also fade in time. Turns out it was a benign fibrous histiocytoma (a tumor). But they removed most of it, and we're hoping that's the end of Jake's plastic surgery phase.
