Journal Jar #22: Pride (+ a bonus picture)

When were my parents most proud of me?

The first thing that comes to mind is the day I got my acceptance letter to BYU, complete with a full scholarship offer. I remember being in the kitchen and opening the letter after I got home from work. I was totally shocked, and I'm guessing my parents were too.

And now may I present:

SOPHIE VS. THE COFFEE TABLE

Coffee Table: 1 / Sophie: 0

It swelled up the first day, and has gone down since, but is now more purple than before. No worries. She recovered quickly.

That was a proud moment, even though we are not supposed to be "proud" I was also really impressed when you learned how to play the guitar. And that c-section baby after 2 days of labor was no small feat. Those are all things I've never done, nor will ever be able to do. You can also correct my grammar, which not everyone can do, either.

The best way to give a kid points against a cofee table is to give them a sharpie. Trust me. I know.

Ouchie! It reminds me of when my son was four and running with a pencil...he fell on the pencil and it jabbed him in the eyelid. It immediately swelled shut and the cut part was bleeding. It looked so bad that people who saw us at the grocery store gave me dirty looks because they thought I'd done it to him! :0

Thank you for the cute Good Mail! The bow is adorable, and the instructions will come in very handy when I become a grandma (some day)! :)
