Cathy's Pants

I am too big for most of my pants. Too big for all of them if it wasn't for my friend Rubber Band. But I am too small for maternity wear. Plus I don't have any yet, which also makes it hard for me to wear. However, I do have one thing that has helped me through this awkward stage in my life: Cathy's pants.

(on the right)

I am blessed with a sister who is a size bigger than me. Now, this might not seem like a blessing to her, but it is. Cathy was fortunate enough to go through this thing people call "puberty" when she was a teenager. She grew in all the right places, and so she is an average girl now with these things called "hips". I on the other hand, skipped that phase. Or, I guess I should say I decided to enter it way late, leaving me with very little time to mature. I ended up with a flat butt. So I wear (wore) small sized pants. Cathy wears regular sized pants. And now I get to too, thanks to my weekend in Mesa last week and my ability to take some of her jeans back to Tucson before she realized it.

I guess I'll have to go shopping soon.

let me be the first to welcome you to the world of lounge wear. you are pregnant. forget about wearing jeans. you need something that stretches. like the pants i was wearing when you were at my house last weekend. target currently has them on sale. also, target carries really cute and affordable maternity clothes. you should check them out. even though i am not currently pregnant, i am afraid that i can never leave the lounge wear phase. it suits my lifestyle, so who am i to fight it?

some good non-maternity alternatives. stretchy gauchos. These are the best, you can get them at target, walmart, anywhere. They go fast though so I would buy some very soon. they are loose, cool material (not awesome cool, colder than warm cool)and have a band waist. I wore them throughout my whole pregnancy and they still fit well now and don't make me look fat. sweet.

You know, some people might get embarrassed that their sister who is four and a half years older than them wears smaller pants... but I'm okay with it. The funny part is that the one's you took, I didn't like cause they were getting a little tight on me. Now they fit your pregnent hips just fine... plus they have a hole in the butt... sucker

Isn't it fun to steal your sister's clothes.

Sad story: I went to Old Navy yesterday and picked out a cute pair of lounge capries (gauchoish) and 2 shirts and went to pay, but didn't have my Old Navy gift card with me, so I had to leave the store empty handed. It was very disappointing.

sometimes if you forget your gift card you are allowed to use good old fashioned money. i kniw it's not the same, but you could've bought more stuff later. I laughed out loud when Cathy called you a sucker.

even when i was nine months pregnant maternity clothes didn't fit me right... it's 'cause they suck. take robin's advice about the stretchy waistband clothes wear them below the belly and then buy some nice long t-shirts... you'll be much happier. or you can buy short shirts and show off your pregnant belly like britany spears. i hear she's really cool.
