Mesa BikeFest

Our best family picture of the day

Today our little family headed out to downtown Mesa for the Great Arizona Bicycle Festival. Sophie & Sam got to bring their bikes, and the streets of downtown were all closed off, so we were able to walk and ride right down the middle of Main Street.

The crowds were very minimal, and we got to do lots of great things, including bounce houses & carnival games - all for free!

We also ended up with a lot of great stuff for free, including 2 t-shirts, 2 inflatable animals, candy, face painting, a sun vizor that Sophie decorated herself, and best of all -- a new, professionally fitted bike helmet for Sophie. It turns out that her old helmet was too small for her head, so she was fitted with a cute white helmet with butterflies on it. It fits perfectly!

Sophie showing off her new giraffe "Raffie", her butterfly face paint, and her new helmet.
Elo (the doll) got to come along in her baby carrier today too.

Sam, with his blue car face paint, enjoying the ride down Main Street.

We packed a lunch and after walking around a bit, ate our sandwiches on Main Street. We then stopped by the bounce houses again before heading home.

On our way back to the car, Sophie & Sam decided to stop and dance in front of the live band.

We had a great time! I can't wait to do it again next year!
