A Lost Tooth

Sophie's first tooth in was also her first tooth out! I've heard that you loose your teeth in the order that you grow them, and so far it's the truth. Now, if she looses them in the speed that she gains them, she will have 13 teeth gone by October, so let's hope that's not the case.

We first noticed that it was loose the week that Mary was born, so this has been a long time coming. It was finally ready to come out last week.

Attempt #1: Gripping it with a wash rag (fail)

Attempt #2: The Pliers (fail again)

Attempt #3 (the next night): Rag Again

Success!

She looked a little nervous about those pliers.

I was just going to say I can't believe she let jake do the pliers. I don't think I ever let mom do that one to me.

Oh my.. she is a tough young girl, letting her tooth get pulled out by a flier. She's a brave young kid! How did she feel about going to the dentist?

She’s a tough girl! One good way to promote healthy teeth is by taking preventive measures while still young. And it’s a good thing to have your teeth removed or extracted at that age, because their roots are not yet that tense, therefore it is easier to remove, and less pain.

Haha! Sophie looks adorable on the third attempt photo! Though I have to say that you got a brave daughter there, Abbie! Look at her on the second pic. She really looked relaxed and you couldn’t see any hint of fear in her eyes. She just really wanted to get rid of that tooth, I guess. ;)
