Going . . . Going . . .

About a month ago, I mentioned on facebook that we were considering taking out the pool. I got an OVERWHELMING response to it - more facebook comments than I've gotten on any post before. And nearly 100% of the responses were telling me to keep the pool. Funny, a lot of the responses were to the tune of "we like that YOU have a pool".

However, we didn't receive any positive responses in the form of monetary contributions, so it just wasn't possible. We'll have a pool someday, just not today.

Going . . .

going . . .

going . . .

(Sam's permanent location for the past week)

going . . .

going . . .

gone.

We thought long and hard about this decision, and we know it's the right one for our family right now. Now who wants to play in our dirt?

Did you already sell your poolside furniture?

And it looks like you should be planting a lot of rows of corn in your new garden space.

I bet it was a tough decision! And I agree with Stephanie...HUGE yard! Your kids will have a blast! :) And they could be out there unsupervised...which is my kind of backyard!

Crazy and cool! Playing in the dirt is the best. Time to go get yourselves some Tonka dump trucks!

Wow! Talk about efficient. I agree with the corn rows...it could be a very nice Thanksgiving crop, or a great monsoon mud wrestling area :)

We still love you without a pool. We'll come play in your dirt & grass next time we're in town.
